We offer a range of counselling services from our Crawley centre, so you can access support that is appropriate to your circumstances. 

Individual counselling gives you a confidential space to talk about what's happening in your life and explore what might help.

People come to counselling for many different reasons. You might be dealing with stress or difficult emotions, going through a separation or another major life change, coping with grief or loss, experiencing difficulties in your relationships, or simply feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

You don't need to have everything worked out before you start. Your counsellor will work with you at your own pace.

Relationships can go through difficult periods. 

You might be struggling with communication, having the same arguments repeatedly, feeling disconnected from each other or trying to rebuild trust.

Couples counselling provides a space where both people can be heard and where you can explore what is happening in your relationship with the support of a professional counsellor.

You don't have to wait until your relationship is in crisis. Counselling can also help couples who want to strengthen an already good relationship, understand each other better or navigate a significant change together.

Family relationships can be complicated, particularly when circumstances change or communication becomes difficult.

Family counselling provides an opportunity for family members to talk openly, understand different perspectives and explore ways of improving relationships and communication.

You might be experiencing ongoing conflict, difficulties communicating, changes within the family or challenges that are affecting everyone at home.

Our counsellors can help you explore what's happening and work towards more positive ways of relating to one another.

Counselling provides a safe, supportive space where children and young people can talk, be listened to and explore what is happening for them with a qualified counsellor.

They may be experiencing difficulties at home or school, changes in their family, worries about relationships, or other challenges that are affecting their wellbeing.

Our counsellors work in ways that are appropriate to the child's or young person's age and individual circumstances.

In Crawley, our counsellors can see children and young people aged 5–18.

Difficulties with sex and intimacy can affect your confidence, wellbeing and relationships, but they can also be difficult to talk about. 

Psychosexual therapy provides a confidential and supportive space to explore sexual difficulties without judgement.

You might be experiencing difficulties with desire, arousal, orgasm, pain during sex or other concerns that are affecting your sexual relationship. Sometimes these difficulties are connected to relationship problems, life changes, stress or past experiences. At other times, there may be physical or medical factors involved.

Our psychosexual therapy service in Crawley gives you the opportunity to talk openly about what is happening and explore ways forward with the support of a qualified therapist.

Psychosexual therapy can be provided for individuals or couples, depending on your circumstances and what you would like support with.

Relationships Sussex is a not-for-profit counselling charity with more than 60 years experience of supporting people and relationships across Sussex.

Our qualified and experienced counsellors provide professional support in a confidential and non-judgemental environment. They receive ongoing professional supervision as part of our commitment to safe, ethical and effective practice.

As a charity, we also believe that the cost of counselling shouldn't automatically prevent someone from getting support. We offer reduced-cost counselling through our bursary scheme for eligible clients, subject to available funding.

We know that the cost of counselling is an important consideration.

Our current standard fees vary depending on the type of counselling you need:

• Individual counselling: £72 per session
• Couples counselling: £80 per session face-to-face
• Family counselling: £80 per session face-to-face
• Children and young people's counselling: £50 per session
• Psychosexual therapy: £80 per session

We also offer reduced-cost counselling for eligible clients through our bursary scheme, subject to available funding.

We will take payment for the initial appointment at the time of booking.

Your initial appointment gives you and your counsellor an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to counselling, ask questions and explore what you would like from the process.

Your initial appointment may not be with the counsellor who provides your ongoing sessions.

There's no fixed number of counselling sessions you have to commit to.

We usually recommend an initial appointment followed by around six sessions as a starting point, but your needs are individual. You and your counsellor can review how things are progressing and decide together what feels right for you.
